An international educational program for workers of the Antillano de Acero metallurgical factory (Havana, Cuba) was inaugurated on February 2, 2016 at Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. The program is one of the largest and long-term projects with foreign partners of late. Started under the Russian-Cuban agreement, the project is driven by plans of the Cuban metallurgists on upgrading of their factory.

The educational part of the project implies development of competences of engineering staff from the Cuban factory. Being a strategic partner of the factory of many years, the NMSTU is going to implement this part. The Cuban students will have a possibility to put their competent knowledge into practice at the workshops of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.

This unique educational project will run for three years. Two hundred specialists from the Antillano de Acero factory will be retrained during this time.
