NMSTU Promotes Cooperation with Universities from India

ind From 4th through 6th October 2017, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia hosted the Second Meeting of the Russian-Indian Association of Universities. This event marked the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. The participants included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India and representatives of the leading universities from Russia and India.

The participants talked about cooperation in research and education, as well as academic mobility among researchers and students. The conference hall, which traditionally gathers the LMSU academic board, witnessed the signing of the Association’s Charter presided by rector and academician Sadovnichy.

Since 2012, NMSTU has been actively engaged in furthering the cooperation with Indian universities. At the meeting, Vice Rector for International Affairs Aleksey Korchunov presented his report on the university’s performance as a member of the Association. The meeting also included discussions of potential joint projects between NMSTU and the counterparts from Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
