- Structure, domain and logic design of data bases, standard application packages, computer networks for metallurgical technology improvement and object management.
- Automated technological complexes in metallurgy.
- Production management IT, production scheduling, production management, quality management.
Course contents:
- Control system hierarchy of a modern metallurgical complex. Control system levels, typical diagrams of the automatic process control in metallurgy, process supervision. Economics of IT implementation. Software for automated collection, transmission, processing, display, accumulation, and retrieval of process parameter data. Production process supervision software.
- Data source integration (linking) IT, common information space.
- Information flow analysis, information models. Production task optimisation IT.
- Production information support services, global resources providing information about mineral raw materials, metals, materials and their processes.
Activities:
- Teacher-led group activities in a classroom;
- Extracurricular self-study of the teacher’s assignments and tasks, including the use of educational facilities (obligatory);
