74th International Conference on Important Issues of Modern Science, Technology and Education

On April 18th through 22nd, Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University witnessed the 74th International Conference on Important Issues of Modern Science, Technology and Education.
It was the first time when arts were included in the Conference programme. This year, along with the usual participants from Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus, NMSTU also welcomed representatives of Czestochowa University of Technology from Poland.
Researchers from Poland presented four reports on the development of the metal forming theory and technology and on metals processing.
The Conference section on the current challenges in steel making industry was marked by a visit of researchers from the Institute of Metallurgy of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Yekaterinburg.
Traditionally, undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students, alongside with high-ranking academics, presented their reports at 74 sections of the Conference.
In his summarizing speech First Vice Rector, Vice Rector for Research and Innovations Mikhail Chukin introduced the Panel of the Conference which included the NMSTU Rector Valery Kolokoltsev, the Head of the City Administration Vitaly Bakhmetyev, Professor Henryk Dyja from Poland and The Head of MMK Research & Technology Center, D.Sc. in Engineering Sergey Denisov.
In his welcoming address to the Panel Valery Kolokoltsev said that the last five years witnessed a dramatic rise of the research activities at NMSTU.
According to Vitaly Bakhmetyev, the Conference should lead to adoption of new ideas and establishment of new enterprises in Magnitogorsk. And Professor Henryk Dyja invited the University research team to participate in annual conferences held by Czestochowa University of Technology.
