NMSTU Ranks Higher in Webometrics World Ranking

The latest Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities has recently been published.

The current ranking included 27,763 universities from all over the world with 1,223 higher education institutions from the Russian Federation.

This year NMSTU is ranked 3,954 in the world ranking, which indicates a serious upgrade.

The ranking of Russian universities marks another positive development for NMSTU. Thus, NMSTU ranks 70 (!) among more than 1,220 universities of Russia.

Webometrics looked at the criteria that characterize the amount and quality of information posted on the universities’ web resources: reliability, quality, integrity, popularity, citation index, web traffic.

Webometrics ranking has been published since 2004 by the Spanish National Research Council based in Madrid.

The aim of the ranking is to increase the presence of universities in the Internet and to facilitate publication of scientific articles and developments.
