NMSTU Ranks in TOP-300 of QS EECA

This year, Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University again ranked in TOP-300 of the QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia ranking.
For the third year in a row, NMSTU is ranked in TOP-300 of the QS EECA ranking, which ranks universities from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine. This year, more indicators were used for evaluation. Thus, this year’s ranking included such indicator as International Cooperation in Scientific Research, which looks at the international projects, joint publications and grants a university is involved in.
The ranking is based on ten criteria, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty student ratio, proportion of international faculty, proportion of international students, citations per faculty from Scopus, proportion of faculty with academic degrees, efficiency of web resources according to Webometrics and international cooperation in scientific research.
This year, Magnitogorsk university is ranked 251-300. In these three years NMSTU showed the best performance in the criteria of web impact and citations per paper.
This year also marked the first time when NMSTU was ranked by QS World University Rankings BRICS ranking 301-350.
