From 4 to 7 June Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University will host the 4th International Youth Conference Magnitogorsk Rolling Practice 2019 (Innovative Metal Forming Processes: Fundamental Issues of Science and Production) dedicated to the 85th anniversary of NMSTU.
Traditionally, the conference is meant to gather young scientists and world-known scientists from Russia and abroad to discuss the latest achievement in metal forming processes. The conference is unique and distinguished by a non-conventional format providing for workshops of leading scientists and reports of young scientists in specific sessions. In addition to lectures and discussions, conference participants will undertake an industrial tour of PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, the Russian largest iron and steel company, infrastructure of the university and enjoy the entertainment program outside the city, in particular, a visit to a well-known alpine-skiing center near Bannoye lake.
“Why do we hold the conference at our university? Magnitogorsk is a unique alloy of science and the production site. One of world leaders in metallurgy is located in this city, and the university has high rank researchers in the field of metal forming processes. We have plenty to offer. At the conference we discuss the most currently important issues in the field of metal forming. We try to invite the speakers who actually develop new research directions in this area, so that young researchers could listen to lectures and begin to apply new information in their studies more actively”, commented Alexey Korchunov, Vice Rector for International Affairs, NMSTU.
The forum participants include well-known scientists from India, China, Italy, Poland, Belorussia, Kazakhstan and others. Geography of young Russian scientists in metal forming is also broad: Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Nizhny Tagil, Novotroitsk, Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk.

The plenary session of the 4th International Youth Conference Magnitogorsk Rolling Practice 2019 will take place on the 4th of June at 11:00 am at the conference hall of NMSTU (room 231; 38, Lenin street).
