The 5th International Conference Magnitogorsk Rolling Practice 2020: Results

The 5th anniversary International Youth Scientific and Technical Conference for young researchers Magnitogorsk Rolling Practice 2020 came to an end. It provided a platform for virtual sessions for the participants from India, Italy, the USA, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and from all over Russia. Over 50 researchers took part in the daily sessions and total online time of the conference amounted to over 20 hours for 3 days.
We are grateful to all the speakers and attendees for their interest! It is thanks to you that the conference maintained its efficiency and set a new record number of participants even in such hard times. We also express gratitude to the Russian Foundation for Basic Research for its financial support of the conference, and to the scientific journals, our information partners.
In spite of a new format of the conference, we jointly held a valuable scientific forum for young researchers and specialists in metal forming, deserving the title of the best scientific event in the Russian Federation in 2020!
We would like to particularly mention the diploma and prize winners of the conference.
The winner’s diplomas are given to:
- 1st place: Mikhail Erpalov (Yekaterinburg, Russia),
- 2nd place: Luca Pezzato (Padua, Italy),
- 3rd place: Nikita Zavartsev (Chelyabinsk, Russia), Olesya Biryukova (Magnitogorsk, Russia).

“The best practical implementation”: Denis Voroshilov (Krasnoyarsk, Russia),
“The best start to science”: Nikita Bunits (Moscow, Russia), Alexandra Tymchenko (Temirtau, Kazakhstan), Ilya Tsyrganovich (Gomel, Belarus),
“The best progress in research”: Ekaterina Ustinova (Yekaterinburg, Russia),
“The best numerical simulation”: Denis Salikhyanov (Yekaterinburg, Russia).
The proceedings of the conference, souvenirs, certificates of participants (and winners) will be sent to the participants soon after the end of the conference.
