The #ErasmusDays are the days when universities participating in the EU student and teaching staff exchange program share their experience, present outcomes of the Erasmus+ projects, and discuss advantages of the implemented mobility programs and fundamentals of European values.

This year, during the #ErasmusDays, as part of the project on “Excellence in Engineering Education through Teacher Training and New Pedagogy Approaches in Russia and Tajikistan”, the NMSTU Department of Foreign Languages for Technical Fields of Study and Riga Technical University (RTU) organized an online conference on “International collaboration at technical universities”.

The conference participants included, among others, Timo Turunen (EXTEND Project Manager), Eriks Badamsins (RTU Project Manager), Agnieszka Maj and Teva Derussy (specialists of the RTU International Cooperation Department).

As part of the conference, Alexey Korchunov, Vice Rector for International Affairs, NMSTU, and Igors Tipans, Vice Rector for International Academic Cooperation and Studies, RTU, held an online meeting and expressed a common interest in collaboration, stated many common areas of activities and decided to conclude the collaboration agreement between the universities.

Thus, the agreement was signed by both parties. The areas of joint research and academic activities included student and teaching staff academic mobility, online meetings with researchers from NMSTU and RTU, joint research and participation in various competitions and applications for grants.
