2021 Student Sports Night

Top athletes, coaches and representatives of Steel Hearts, a sports club of NMSTU, took part in an extraordinary event – Student Sports Night. This event took place on the 25th of January on the ice skating rink of Ural Lightning in Chelyabinsk. In the event awards were given to the best students of the Chelyabinsk Region who took an active part in sports and presented the region not only at Russian competitions, but also international ones.
Vitaly Yakushev, Deputy Ministry for Physical Education and Sports, congratulated all the participants on the Students’ Day and wished them to keep leading an active and healthy lifestyle, achieve the set goals and get unforgettable impressions and memories about the most excellent stage of life.
The award “Best athlete in 2019-2020 academic year” was given to Maxim Shabanov and Alexander Alimbekov, basketball players. The organizers also mentioned successful performance of Sergey Artsibashev, a member of the rowing team.
The award “Best coach in 2019-2020 academic year” was given to Vladislav V. Alontsev, a table tennis coach of NMSTU.
Maxim S. Kornoukhov, Head of Sports Club Steel Hearts, received a recognition letter for an active part and promotion of physical education and sports among students, his help with organizing and conducting the Universiade of the Chelyabinsk Region in 2019-2020 academic year.
We thank organizers of such great event: the management of the All-Russian Complex of Physical Education and Sports GTO (Ready for Labor and Defense) in the Chelyabinsk Region and the Ministry of Sports of the Chelyabinsk Region. We congratulate our athletes and wish them success in sports!
