“Signing the Memorandum of Understanding with one of the top universities of Brazil is a significant event in the series of international events of the Brazil Days at NMSTU. I would like to thank our friends from the Embassy of Brazil for their positioning and promoting our university in the academic environment of one of the largest countries in Latin America”, stated Alexey Korchunov, Vice Rector for International Affairs at NMSTU.

The signing ceremony was preceded by several online meetings between representatives of the universities in the field of education and science to discuss areas of mutually beneficial collaboration. The idea of collaboration between the Russian and Brazilian universities was also supported by Rodrigo Baena Soares, the Ambassador of Brazil in Moscow, when the NMSTU team visited the Embassy this October.

The parties intend to carry out joint projects in the field of academic exchange of students and teachers, education, and research.

In 2022 the teams from the universities will exchange official visits to learn the universities better and develop their active collaboration.
