The Faculty of technologies and quality

The Faculty of Technology and Quality was founded in 1968.

Nowadays about 100 teachers work there. Among them are: 8 professors, Doctors of Engineering, 41 assistant professors and Candidates of Engineering and four honored men of the Russian Federation.

More than 3000 engineers graduated from this faculty.

Today the most advanced faculty provides training according to 10 specialities:

• Pressure Treatment of Metals;
• Standartisation and Certification (in Metallurgy);
• Powder Metallurgy, Composite Materials, Coating;
• Metallurgical Engineering and Thermal Treatment of Metals;
• Material Engineering in Machine-Building;
• Technology of Meat and Meat Products;
• Technology of Fish and Fish Products;
• Technology of Milk and Milk Products;
• Technology of Design of Packing Production;
• Exploitation and Service of Transport, Technological Machines and Equipment (Automobile Transport).
• The Faculty has Doctorate Awards Board and its post-graduate courses.

The main fields of research work are:

• development of theory, equipment, technology, and service of effective production processes of high-quality fastenings;
• physical and chemical basis of constructing and production of coat and powder, materials, functional coatings and products;
• mathematical modeling and development of techniques and technology of effective processes of high-quality rolling production and its products.
