International recognition of competences and professionalism

The committee received 1330 applications totally, including 1268 projects from China and 62 ones from other countries, in four fields: industrial artificial intelligence, biomedicine, low-carbon technologies and new materials.

Every field was represented by five experts from sector ministries of BRICS, analytic centers, enterprises and international organizations, having considerable experience of industrial innovation and a new technological paradigm. The projects were assessed from the following aspects: focus on innovation, field of application, maturity, social and economic effect in the BRICS countries.

Having passed two rounds of assessment, in the final associate professor Aleksandra V. Varganova (PhD in Engineering) presented the project on “An intelligent model of the electric power supply system for industrial enterprises with on-site electric power plants” and associate professor Sergey A. Levandovsky (PhD in Engineering), the project on “Joint program: development and implementation of digital twins at foundry and metallurgical enterprises”.

Finally, the second award of the contest for the BRICS Young Innovators in industrial artificial intelligence was given to the project by S.A. Levandovsky.

“This project is devoted to developing and introducing digital twins of existing process complexes at iron and steel works to increase efficiency of production and improve the quality of products. An interest in collaboration and development of the project has been already expressed by the partners of NMSTU, namely the China Foundry Association”, commented S.A. Levandovsky the results of the contest.
