Course contents:
This course is aimed at giving students a clear idea about how to set up an experiment, how to evaluate random factor effect on experiment results, what dispersion and regression analyses are, and how to plan an experiment.
This course is an important preparation step for undergraduates before they can take up R&D work, analyse the condition and dynamics of power qualitative indicators using proper techniques and research means, create math models of different objects, elaborate research plans, programmes and procedures.
Activities:
- Teacher-led group activities in a classroom;
- Extracurricular self-study of the teacher’s assignments and tasks, including the use of educational facilities (obligatory);
- Office-hours.
Total hours – 144
Total points – 4
Laboratory classes – 16
Midterm assessment –Pass/fail examination
