NMSTU Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with an Italian University

A new international partnership has been established by Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. NMSTU has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Trieste, Italy.

The first visit to the University of Trieste took place in September this year when a group of NMSTU students were doing their practical training at Danieli in Italy. Mr. Levandovskii, Associate Professor at the Department of Materials Processing, and Mr. Nikolaev, Head of the Department of Automated Electric Drive and Mechatronics, took the opportunity and paid a visit to the University of Trieste, where they were taken on a tour around the University laboratories.

The latest Memorandum offers a framework for cooperation between the two institutions which covers such areas as student and staff exchange, joint research projects and common scientific initiatives, joint academic programmes, as well as short-term study abroad programmes for students, use of research equipment and a free access to the facilities of either institution.

The new partnership encompasses such areas as civil engineering, the technology of processes and materials, power engineering and engineering of electrical power systems.
