NMSTU Celebrates Serbia’s Independence Day

On 15 February, NMSTU’s Institute of Historical Anthropology and Linguistics saw a round table marking the anniversary of Serbian Independence. The event gathered some teaching staff of the Department of World History and students of History and Tourism at the same table with Serbians who live in Magnitogorsk.

The round table discussions touched upon the history of Russian and Serbian people, upon facts that one won’t find in history books and how important it is for the two nations to cherish and foster their friendly relationship.

The round table also included a presentation about Serbia as a tourist destination and a discussion about the similarity and differences of the national languages. As the final point, the participants expressed their willingness to work on promoting tighter relations between the two nations.
