The forum gathered young researchers from Italy, Hungary, China, as well as from research centres and universities representing 21 cities of Russia.
80 authors – among them, undergraduate and postgraduate students and young teachers – presented 89 reports covering important problems of modern philology, an essential component of Digital Humanities, the future of which is inevitably related to computer technology.
The plenary highlighted the key subjects, including eternal characters and archetypes of the world literature, digital tools for the humanities, the intermedial potential of literature, new literary formats.
On the closing day, the participants were taken on a tour to a unique wildlife conservation area in the neighbouring Bashkortostan Region and toured Magnitogorsk.
Round table debates marked the end of the forum. The discussions touched on the future of digital philology, the anthropology of literary reading in the digital age, and visualization of literary works. The undergraduates presented their digital projects. And a virtual poetry flash mob culminated the forum.
