NMSTU is the Best Supplier of MMK

NMSTU was rated as the 2021 Best Supplier in the category “Leader of scientific industrial solutions” of the contest held by the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.

This traditional contest was held for the sixth time. A committee, consisting of the representatives of the MMK Commercial Division, selected winners in 13 categories among over 2250 Russian and foreign, long-term and new suppliers. Pavel Shilyaev, General Director of MMK, stated that NMSTU was a key partner of MMK in the R&D field. The calculations showed that since 2016 till now NMSTU had implemented about 60% of all the R&D projects at MMK.

“This is a great honor and responsibility for the university. We will devote our maximum effort to continue developing our long-term partner relations. It is important to collaborate with MMK not only on metallurgy, but also on digitalization and application of new innovative solutions at all industrial stages”, emphasized in his speech Mikhail Chukin, Rector of NMSTU. “It is worth much to be the best supplier as stated by the corporate management. To be in the list of reliable partners of the leading metallurgical company indicates a positive image and trust in the university. Thank you for such a high appraisal! We will keep multiplying our joint success in research.”

The contest “Best Supplier of 2021” held by MMK is aimed at acknowledging and encouraging efforts and progress of suppliers to continuously improve their work. Besides, the contest promotes openness and transparency of procurement for the metallurgical enterprise and contributes to development of reliable partner relations with suppliers.
