  • Specifics of the industrial experimentation
  • Processing and analysis of experiment results. Drawing conclusions

Course contents:

Necessity of the scientific experimentation learning. Main stages of the scientific research. Consideration of a problem.

Assessment of the problem maturity (review of literature:

  • filing of writings;
  • defining of more important sources;
  • note-taking;
  • summerising).

Experiment planning and management:

  • selection of optimisation parameters;
  • factor selection;
  • factor down-selection;
  • search for an optimal region

Reporting:

  • a report on a scientific research work;
  • conference reports;
  • article writing;
  • an invention application.

Activities:

  • Teacher-led group activities in a classroom;
  • Extracurricular self-study of the teacher’s assignments and tasks, including the use of educational facilities (obligatory);
  • Office-hours.
