  1. Informatization and its role in development of the society.
  2. Federal state program on informatization of Russia.
  3. Analysis and feasibility study of development of an information sector of the Russian economy.
  4. Conceptual areas of standardization and development of international standards database for informatization projects of Russia.
  5. Economic, legal and organizational mechanisms of informatization in Russia.
  6. Concepts of solving complex problems of informatization in Russia.

Syllabus of the course:

Information society: role and importance of information revolutions, scientists’ view on information society. Role of informatization in development of society. Informatization of society. Experience of informatization and forward-looking ideas. Role of mass media. Information culture.

Subject matter of the problem and rationale of need for its settlement. Key goals and objectives, terms and stages of program implementation. Program as a tool for implementation of the strategy on a transition to an information society. Key principles and basic provisions of the Program. Content of the Program (list of the Program’s basic projects). Resources support of the Program. Conditions of establishment, management and control of implementation of the Program. Assessment of performance, social and economic results of the Program.

Domestic market of electronic media services (pay TV and Internet services). IT market in Russia. Working out a long-term strategy of development of the IT sector in Russia.

State of, and trends in development of informatization infrastructure abroad. State of informatization infrastructure in Russia. Proposals regarding a state poly of development of informatization infrastructure in Russia.

Basic and application methodological research and development in information technologies and systems. Technology of software engineering – software engineering. Foundations of Computer Vision

Description of course modules (sections, subjects):

  1. Concept of computer vision and its use in industrial conditions.
  2. Key concepts of image identification.
  3. Methods and algorithms of image processing.
  4. Virtual reality systems and application tasks with computer vision systems.

Syllabus of the course:

Sources of digital image processing. Components of an image processing system. Elements of visual perception. Image sensing and registration. Image digitization and quantization.  Components of the computer vision system.

Image segmentation: identification of intensity discontinuity, thresholding, segmentation by separate areas. Presentation and description: presentation, boundary descriptors, area descriptors. Key components of a description, relational descriptors. Object identification: images and classes, object identification using methods of a decision theory, training algorithms, multi-layer neuron nets, structural methods of identification.

3D methods for image enhancement: gradation transformation, histogram modifications, foundations of space filtering. Frequency domain methods for image enhancement: Fourier transformation and frequency domain, smoothing using frequency domain filters, sharpening frequency domain filters, homomorphic filtering. Image reconstruction: noise models, noise reduction, filtration and types of filters. Color image processing: color models, pseudocolor image processing, color transformations, color segmentation. Morphological image processing.

Concept of virtual reality systems: construction principles, movement detectors and manipulators, application of virtual reality systems. Examples and schemes of solving problems using computer vision systems in various areas of the national economy.

  1. Architecture, technical solutions and configuration of computing machines for various applications.
  2. Data transfer networks, theoretical basis, technical implementation, basics of network administration.
  3. Computing complexes, modern technical solutions of server factories, data storage systems and networks.

Syllabus of the course:

Objective of the course: providing students with expanded concepts and technologies of operation of modern computing machines, complexes, data storage and transmission networks, forming perceptions of tasks and methods of equipment administration, use of knowledge for solution of application tasks.

Tasks of the course

The course is aimed at:

  • study of techniques for structuring components of modern computing machines for various applications;
  • learning of configuration methods for modern computing machines;
  • study of theoretical basics of structuring data transfer networks;
  • learning of methods for development of technical solutions to structuring data transfer networks;
  • learning of software for data transfer network administration;
  • study of modern technical solutions to structuring computing complexes, data storage systems and networks.

Objective of the course: formation of representations on techniques for development of integrated information systems and automation tools for development and registration.

The course is aimed at:

  • analysis of initial requirements and work scheduling,
  • development of a plan to examine enterprise activities,
  • study of techniques for construction of models of enterprise activities,
  • study of Case tools for automation of development and registration procedures.

Syllabus of the course:

Objective of the course: formation of efficient language skills to use in scientific and professional communication.

Tasks of the course: development of a set of background competences contributing to social and cultural and vocational adaptation in dynamic, highly competitive vocational conditions.

The course in included in a profession-oriented part of a general scientific cycle of courses attributed to the master’s degree educational standard.

The course is aimed at formation and development of background competencies: fluent use of the Russian and foreign language as means of business communication (OK3).

As a result of studying the course a student should:

  • know key concepts and written/oral discourse representation models using relevant strategies;
  • be able to apply foreign language communicative competences in a specific sphere of communications;
  • be fluent in one of foreign languages at a level of business English or higher;
  • show understanding and solution of tasks in different conditions and use English in specific spheres of business communication.
