Global Education Summit
On October 3-4, 2022 the NMSTU representatives took part in annual Global Education Summit 2022 devoted to “International academic collaborations in higher education for innovation and global sustainability” organized for presidents, rectors and vice-rectors of world universities.
In the current scenario of fast changing paradigm shifts in teaching, learning, pedagogy and technology, it is extremely important to engage universities across the world to keep pace with the global development for meeting student aspirations. Within this context the summit brought together well-known experts from over 50 universities in 28 countries to hold serious and results-driven discussions aimed at drawing out a roadmap for New Age Universities.
Professor R.S. Bawa, Pro-Chancellor of organizing Chandigarh University (India), said that Global Education Summit 2022 would pave the way for partnership and collaboration in the field of higher education and have a great importance for improving the standards of higher education.
Over the two days, the participants held an elaborate discussion on the currently important topics, such as using innovation for improving quality of life; sustainable models for blended learning; using partnerships to develop models to meet future aspirations of the students; defining universal skills for employability without borders; and creating a research-oriented teaching learning model.
As part of the summit, Professor O.N. Tulupov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, gave an online presentation on experience and mission of training engineers of the future by integrating science and new teaching/learning process technologies.
This July NMSTU and Chandigarh University signed the Collaboration Agreement. In the same month professors from NMSTU gave lectures as part of the International Faculty Development Program of Chandigarh University focused on increasing the qualification of the teaching staff and postgraduates.
