Journals should also have a high quartile, which is characteristic of their relevance and quality. Thus, the fact that Chernye Metally is included into the first quartile of the Scopus international database shows its credibility in the world of science. This means that now scientists from all over the world will read about our studies, we can receive requests for sharing experience, promotion and implementation of our technologies and projects in the market. Thanks to this platform we may promote results of our research activities all over the world”, commented Professor Oxana S. Logunova, Head of the Technology Transfer Department, the Strategic Planning Office of NMSTU.

CIS Iron and Steel Review, an English-language journal of Ore and Metals publishing house, held its rank in the first quartile too. One of its founders is Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. Within a year, its impact factor SJR increased from 0.960 to 2.351.
