Organization of works of regional and municipal transport systems. Organization of works of transport hubs.

3. Transport system management.

Topics: Principles of transport system functioning. Modeling and improvement of transport system parameters. Problems and prospects of transport system development.

Topics: Classification and purpose of hubs. Equipment of transport hubs. Characteristics of technical facilities. Types of works performed. Operating procedures of transport hubs. Freight transfer and handling procedures. Shipping paperwork. Dispatcher service.

3. Legal coordination at transport hubs.

Topics: Rights and obligations of participants of the transportation process. Types of contracts, basic terms of delivery. Reporting and claims activities. Charters, codes, and other regulatory documents.

4. Interaction of transport modes on the basis of logistic principles.

Topics: Logistic concepts. Combined shipment. Technology and organisation of multimodal and intermodal transport.

Topics: Definition of transport and transport-technological systems, their classification and development factors. Classification and structure of transport flows. Arterial and industrial traffic flows. Definition of transport flow rate and its adaptation to changes in cargo and passenger flow rate.  Modern methods of transport flow formalization. Points of formation, processing and termination of transport flows.

2. Study of transport flow patterns.

Topics: Choosing optimum methods of operational redistribution of traffic performance and capacities among different links of transport systems. Calculation of statistical parameters of traffic flow. Methods of impact on traffic flow. Improvement of traffic flow characteristics.

3. Application of logistical principles of traffic flow control.

Topics: Definitions of modern logistics. Systems approach in logistics. Parameters of logistical flows, methods and practices of their evaluation and forecasting. Modern technologies of logistical flow parameter control. Problems of implementation of logistical flow control methods. Evaluation of logistical costs and transport logistics efficiency.

4. Improvement of flows in the transport system.

Topics: Flow improvement methods. Flow channeling. Costing of flow processing. Removal of flow barriers. Applications of the theory of traffic flow. Traffic routing. Development of urban transport systems.
