Conference in Poland: It Was Worth Going

One of the major forums in metal forming – the XVI International Conference METAL FORMING 2016 – has recently taken place in Krakow.

Top experts in metal forming modelling from the world leading countries were among the participants. NMSTU was represented by three young researchers and Professor Aleksandr Pesin (D.Sc.) from the Department of Materials Processing. They presented five reports, which are to be published in SCOPUS indexed journals.

Practical Training in Italy

It is the 3rd year when NMSTU students travel to Italy for practical training and internships at Danieli.

This September Master’s students Platon Tulupov (Department of Automated Electric Drive and Mechatronics), Tatiana Kazakova (Department of Automated Control Systems), Dmitry Nazarov (Department of Metallurgical and Casting Technologies) and postgraduate student Ildar Abdulveleev (Department of Industrial Electric Power Supply) supported by Associate Professor Levandovskii (Department of Materials Processing) and Head  of the Department of Automated Electric Drive and Mechatronics Mr. Nikolaev have spent a week in Italy.

Indian Research Workshop

Last week, NMSTU saw a visit by professors Narasimhan Krishnaiyengar and Gururajan Mogadalai Pandurangan from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. As part of the cooperation agreement signed earlier between the two universities, the two professors came to NMSTU for a workshop in Current Trends in Modelling of Microstructural Evolution during Plastic Deformation.

NMSTU Significantly Upgraded Its Webometrics World Ranking

In recent years, the name of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University has witnessed a significant rise in the recognition rate worldwide. For example, this year NMSTU has seen a significant upgrade (by 3387 rankings) in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.

To France for A Semester

Five NMSTU students were lucky to start the new 2016-2017 year in France. As part of the EU Erasmus+ Credit Mobility programme for students and staff, they will spend a semester at Jean Monnet University in Saint-Étienne, France.

Russian Countryside School

Five students from Italy, Great Britain and the Czech Republic are currently taking up a course in the Russian language and literature at the Russian Countryside School, which is a part of the NMSTU Education & Health Centre. This unique project was put together by Professor Tatiana Abramzon.

On 11th July, a group of NMSTU Management & Logistics students travelled to Dalian in China to study at NEUSOFT Institute of Information. For two years, our students will study logistics, finance, IT and the Chinese and English languages at this prestigious private institution.
