Irina Bulakhova, a second-year student of the English Language Department, NMSTU, received a grant and got a unique opportunity to study in 2019-2020 academic year at the University of Debrecen, founded in 1538 and now ranked as one of the top five Hungarian universities.
The two years of joint effort between NMSTU and United Steel Industries FZCin El Fujairah, UAE, yielded the first result – a steel mill was put into operation following a long period of downtime. The participants of the start-up procedure included experts from RnD MGTU, researchers from NMSTU and employees of the plant.

This day has come! Today, on the Day of the National Flag of the Russian Federation, the famous robot from Magnitogorsk called FEDOR has gone into space. This marks the first trip of the Russian android robot to the International Space Station. NMSTU researchers, who had examined FEDOR earlier, wished FEDOR a good flight and a successful in-orbit test.
The Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities, one of the top web rankings of world educational institutions totaling over 28,000 universities, has published its results.
As of 13 August 2019, NMSTU ranks 3484th among world universities, 142 positions higher as compared with the last year. The ranking of Russian universities includes over 1129 higher educational institutions, with NMSTU in Top 80, ranking 78th.

Apart from student mobility, the Erasmus+ programme implemented at the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University also encompasses staff mobility. Thus, Dmitry Konstantinov, who is in charge of NMSTU’s international affairs office, took part in a two-week-long summer school in Additive Manufacturing, which took place at Ecole National d’Ingenieurs de Saint-Etienne (ENISE) in France this summer.
Students of the Institute of Further Training and Human Resources Engineering Gorizont have returned from their training in Paris inspired with new ideas on business development.
