Visit to the University of Debrecen

As part of the grant supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Foundation for the Russian Language and Culture in Hungary (the project on “Phenomenology of happiness in Russian literature of the 18th – 20th centuries”), Svetlana Rudakova, Head of the Department of Linguistics and Literature Studies, the Institute of Humanities, from the 7th of November till the 13th of November gave classes to students of the University of Debrecen, the Institute of Slavic Studies, devoted to Russian culture in the European context.

On 23rd-25th November, the Institute for the Humanities at the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University will witness an international conference HUMAN+ 2021.

The aim of the Conference is to provide a platform for discussions that touch on the current status and prospects of the contemporary humanities taking into account the cross-disciplinary trends of today.

Brazil Days at NMSTU

NMSTU students have an opportunity to learn about the Brazilian culture and art straight from the horse’s mouth as part of the Brazil Days at NMSTU.

This project has been implemented by NMSTU together with the Embassy of Brazil in Moscow. From 13th to 16th November, NMSTU welcomed a delegation represented by first secretary for public diplomacy, culture, education and media Alvaro Augusto Guedes Galvani, attaché for public diplomacy, culture, education and media Gabriele Costa Guadagnin and executive director of the Brazilian Foundry Association ABIFA Roberto Deus.

EXTEND: The School for Postgraduates

A School for Postgraduates EXTEND has kicked off at NMSTU. More than 30 postgraduate students from Russia and Tajikistan gathered together to exchange their project related practices and talk about the best European practices in engineering education.

The School is held as part of the international project EXTEND: Enhancing the Quality of Engineering Education through Staff Development and New Teaching Approaches in Russia and Tajikistan. The project is being implemented by the research & education centre EXTEND-NMSTU Centre.

NMSTU to Speak Portuguese

The NMSTU-Brazil relations are to enter a new level. That is the bottomline of the meeting between NMSTU’s leadership and the new ambassador of Brazil in Moscow Rodrigo Baena Soares.

The visit of the NMSTU delegation to the Brazil embassy in Moscow marked the next logical step in the framework of collaboration between the two parties. Last May, the University saw a visit of Alvaro Augusto Guedes Galvani, First Secretary and Head of the Department of Public Diplomacy, Culture and Education, and Gabriele Costa Guadagnin, Attaché of the same department. During that visit, the parties discussed and agreed on certain areas for cooperation. This time actual steps were made to realize the agreements.

Congratulations to the research team on their success!

We congratulate the research team headed by Marina A. Polyakova, DSc (Eng.), Professor of the Department of Materials Processing Technologies, on their achievement in the competition of grants provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for carrying out research together with research organizations of Italy as part of the bilateral science and technology collaboration program to carry out the project: “Study on 3D printing of advanced high-strength steels with TRIP effect for producing self-adapting aerospace structural elements.

NMSTU aims to develop collaboration with Egypt

In the Year of Humanitarian Exchange between Egypt and Russia the team of the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University met with the Attaché of the Embassy of Egypt in Moscow to extend the collaboration.

The meeting was held in the Cultural Center of Egypt in Moscow. The NMSTU team, consisting of Mikhail Chukin, Rector, Igor Kulkov, Lead Specialist on Collaboration with Recruiting Agencies of the International Office, and Tatiana Abramzon, Director of the Institute of Humanities, and Doctor Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Elsergani, Attaché of the Embassy of Egypt in Moscow for Education and Culture, discussed key issues on development of collaboration on education and science between Russia and Egypt.
